‘Flasher’ harasses and stalks female victim

(CNS): Police are on the hunt for the driver of a Black Honda who sexually harassed and indecently exposed himself to a woman in broad daylight on Crewe Road, George Town, yesterday. The incident happened at around 1:40pm Wednesday, as the female victim was walking along the road. She told police that the man, who had a dark complexion and appeared to be of average height, had pulled out of Belmont Close and began harassing her as he curb-crawled slowly alongside of her making suggestive remarks.

The woman tried to ignore the man and went into the nearby mini-mart. But when she left the store he was waiting outside in the Honda and continued to follow her, making crude remarks. Police said that at one point he exposed himself to her and then attempted to block her path with the car while making threats to pull her into the vehicle. The woman, who was not physically injured, ran from the car and called police.

Anyone with any information is asked to call GTPS on 949-4222. Anonymous tips can be provided to the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777, the Miami-based call centre of Crime Stoppers 800-8477(TIPS), or online here.

    Flashing is only allowed during mardi gras, or, it would appear that way since nothing is done to the women that expose themsevles during the festive.

    Maybe it was “a dark blue 1996 Honda Accord, registration number 111 002” stolen from Mary Street?

    I blame the accessability to the crazyness that is the internet. Or international network. Back in the good ol days in cayman when we were the land that time forgot. Everyone was healthy happy n living like caynanians are suppose to live….humble, helpful and honest god fearing people. But we have been influenced by the outsiders that come lay an egg an leave. That egg hatches and causes havoc in the little island. Burger king instead of fresh fish. KFC instead of yams from ya backyard. Jordans instead of wompas….well wompas served its purpose but still we dont need the flashy lifestyle. We need each other. Next Ivan u will see how much we need one another. Wwlcome to the greatest place on earth.

      10.55, you need to get out more..and stop believing your own press. Most perverts are the so called God fearing church goers who think asking the lords forgiven once a week will make it ok

    Again I think that there should be a big discussion about these kind of people who do these kind of disgusting acts and who see it and who knows them . This person in the comment said that he /she called his name and didn’t look back .

    If you knew his name , why didn’t you go to the Police and have him arrested for indecent exposure , or try to have something did with his disgraceful behaviour ?

    Okay, I probably should have called the police.
    True story;
    I was walking along the GT waterfront and passed an Italian seaside restaurant. An SUV was parked on the sidewalk (as there is normally a car parked on the sidewalk here). I noticed that the driver was taking a ‘nap’ and I couldn’t help look as I passed. He had it out in his hand but passed out either before, during or after.
    I was so stunned that I actually called his name as I rushed past not looking back…
    People are nutballs ya’ll.
    Keep your freaky self at home!
