Suspect remanded in custody in teen rape

(CNS): A 32-year-old Jamaican man has been charged with the rape and indecent assault of a teenage girl at a home where he was staying as a guest. Police said that the man was remanded in custody to HMP Northward following a court appearance on Thursday and will next appear in Grand Court on 13 January. The incident happened on Monday, 12 December, and the sex crime was reported the same day. An investigation was launched immediately and the man was charged Wednesday.
