(CNS): Police are looking for witnesses following an assault in the early hours of Saturday morning after a George Town music concert. Officers were called out to a report around 2am of a man being attacked on Cardinal Avenue near to where the Popcan concert had been held.  But after the police arrived at the location they learned that the victim had already gone to the Cayman Islands Hospital and was seeking medical assistance for cuts received by a sharp object. The officers went to the hospital and learned that the man had sustained cuts to his upper lip and left shoulder inflicted by a man he did not know while he was at the concert

The victim was treated and released from hospital, the RCIPS stated in a release Monday.

If it’s a public road, how does someone get permission to close it, and then charge money for a concert? Did the promoters rent the space for government? Something is odd with this whole set up.
