Cops seize drugs and guns in GT raid

(CNS): Police arrested three people Tuesday following a raid on a house in Windsor Park, George Town, where they found what was suspected to be ganja and cocaine along with a  firearm and ammunition. Officers from the Drugs Task Force, the K9 and uniform units as well as the police chopper were involved in the operation, where a significant quantity of drugs as well as the gun were seized, police said. Two men and one woman were arrested at the scene and another man surrendered to police after the raid.

The RCIPS said that a 30-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both from George Town, who were arrested at the house on suspicion of drug and gun offences have already been charged with possession and intent to supply ganja and are expected to appear in court Friday. The 22-year-old man from Bodden Town has been bailed, while the fourth suspect, a 33-year-old George Town man, remains in police custody.
