(CNS): A group of Cuban migrants were rescued Wednesday from a four-day ordeal at sea by a passing vessel and transported to Grand Cayman. The eight men on board the make-shift vessel said they had been stranded after their boat experienced engine problems. The men have now been taken into custody by immigration officials. The number of Cuban migrants currently held at the detention facility has increased to 82 with this latest arrival.

Nightmare… Hopefully that discourages them from trying it again!

Why they didn’t take them to their next destination? What I can’t understand, is why it takes so long to process refugees, to return them to Cuba? The costs to maintain them is high. We have to lay out the red carpet for them, while our very own are in need of shelter. It is time for us to think of our very own.
