(CNS): A masked armed man stole cash and a customer’s handbag on Wednesday evening when he held up Clem’s grocery store on Mary Street in George Town at around 7pm. Police said that the robber had entered the mini-market through the front door with a handgun, demanding cash from the register before taking a black handbag from a customer. The man, who fled on foot, was described as between 5’6” and 6’, of stocky build with a dark complexion, wearing dark jeans, a red shirt, a light-coloured hat, and a mask.  No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.
