West Bay man arrested following multiple assault

(CNS): Police have confirmed that a West Bay was arrested on Sunday in connection with an assault in the early hours of Saturday morning (20 August) in the parking lot of a West Bay Road night club. Three people who were assaulted outside Fete nightclub, including two women, were taken to hospital and treated for head wounds and have since been. CNS learned from unofficial sources that the suspect attacked the victims with a machete, causing severe injuries. It is understood that the man was attacking the first woman when a couple intervened and they were also assaulted.

Police said they have arrested a 23-year-old man, who was also treated for injuries at the hospital following the assault and currently remains in custody.
