Flights cancelled as tropical wave heads towards Cayman

(CNS): As a tropical wave headed towards Cayman Monday evening Cayman Airways Ltd announced the cancellation of flights to Jamaica this evening and to Cayman Brac in the morning. KX2606 and KX2607 have been rescheduled for Tuesday evening. All other flights are expected to operate as scheduled but Cayman Airways said it would monitor the development and path of the tropical system and advise the public of any further cancellations.

The airline stated that customers who have tickets to travel on 1 or 2 August between Grand Cayman and Miami, Tampa, Kingston, Havana or the Sister Islands may change their reservations without penalty.

    Why don’t they just buy those hurricane hunter aircraft that the National Hurricane Centre sends out, they fly through all that stuff, no worries….

    Thanks KX! Wish other airlines would let us know how they will handle this situation. I’m flying on AA tomorrow morning and just heard they cancelled tonights flight.
