Cayman News Service(CNS): Following police raids at two addresses early Friday morning, 19 August, in the district of Bodden Town, four men were arrested, two of whom have been charged with armed robbery. Officials said two Jamaican nationals, aged 21 and 28, who had landed illegally were arrested in connection with the stick-up at DND Accessories and Things in the district on 11 August. A third local man, aged 39, was arrested for harboring fugitives and conspiracy to commit an offence. Meanwhile, at another address a 32-year-old Bodden Town man was arrested and bailed for possession of ganja.

Police officials said the raids happened as a result of a “diligent investigation in recent weeks into recent robberies in the Bodden Town area”.

The Jamaican men have both been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm in connection with the armed robbery and were expected in court Monday.
