George Town man denies trying to kill bar owner

(CNS): Travis Arlington Ebanks (26) from George Town pleaded not guilty on Friday to charges of attempted murder in relation to a stabbing at a George Town bar. Ebanks has denied trying to kill the owner of the Dencle Bar on Mary Street, in the central area of the capital, last month. According to unconfirmed reports, Ebanks is accused of stabbing the landlord of the establishment following a row over his bar bill.

The victim received multiple stab wounds.

Ebanks was remanded in custody Friday until 22 July when he will appear in court to set a date for the trial.
