Elderly Caymanian’s body found near US old folks facility

Cayman News Service(CNS) Update:US media is reporting that police have found the body of a missing 82-year-old Caymanian who disappeared at the weekend from an assisted living facility in Tampa, Florida. Maynell Scott, who suffered from dementia and Alzheimer’s, left the Belvedere Commons at around 7pm Saturday night. His body was found Tuesday evening in a pond near the care facility.

Family members told the local media that they found out he was missing when they called the home to say they were on their way to visit.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began searching nearby lakes and even deployed bloodhounds to try and track Scott, as well as pouring through hours of surveillance video from nearby businesses.

Scott’s family told local media they were heartbroken, but grateful for the community’s thoughts and prayers.

    Lawsuit!!! Thats just slackness. Imagine you leav your toddler at preschool, only to arrive to pick them up and you are being told that they misplaced your kid!??

    He should not just “disappear”!
