(CNS): A 33-year-old man from Bodden Town has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent, in connection with an incident in the district last January. Fabian Thompson, who is a firefighter with the Cayman Islands Fire Service, made his first appearance in court Tuesday, accused of fleeing while armed with a weapon during a police operation near his home in Kitty Lane. Although Thompson has made no formal plea to the charges, the court heard his denial of them. Thompson, said to be of previous good character, was bailed on a $1000 surety to return to court next month.
