Cubans and locals arrested for smuggling

(CNS): Two men from West Bay and two Cuban nationals were arrested in East End Thursday evening after the police intercepted what they believe was a smuggling operation Thursday night. Following a report of a suspicious vessel near East End heading to shore, the Joint Marine Unit and Air Operations Unit tracked the vessel to Gun Bay Dock. Once docked, marine officers arrested four men. 

A 59-year-old man from West Bay and two men from Cuba, aged 44 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of smuggling, and a 42-year-old man from West Bay was arrested on suspicion of illegal landing. The men are currently in police custody.
