Consider this, all this talk, comments about Caymanian drug abusers, laziness etc. If the top echelon of companies in these Islands were tested, GCM would shut down, but no mostly the locals get tested and targeted in the name of C we are trying to do our job.

Thank you Sunrise for your post. I am one of the expatriates that came to Cayman in 1976 and can comfirm that there were few of us. We learned to work alongside Caymanians and learn about their culture. My first employer Hon. Dalmain Ebanks tought me to focus on working allongside Caymanians and learn about the Cayman Islands, it’s people and history and culture. Best advice I was ever given. The same advice I share with those who don’t know our Beloved Cayman Islands and it’s people and yes culture.

All these crimes including the very serious ones, committed mostly by Caymanians, all these unemployed, mostly Caymanians, 98% of whom are unsuitable for any job, all these families, mostly Caymanian, existing on public handouts, yep, blame it on Baines.

It is strange that of recent 98% of caymanians are unsuitable for any job. Years ago when the islands that time forgot were not filled with work permit holders, the jobs were done by us. Every consultant comes with his or her agenda.
The next recruitment will be from the consultant’s country. The music is played according to the band selection. Who is going to dance to it?

Doofus..it stated 98% of those who registered with NWDA.
Dont get your britches in a twist even if it is beinf done maliciously and intentionally.

Hello Anonymous 1:48, I sure hate to disappoint you, but I do think it is time I burst your bubble!! I am not sure where you are from, but you sure seem to have a lot of hatred against the Caymanian people. I would like to start by praying for you, you seem to be one of those to go another man’s country just to reap and destroy!!! I am A PROUD CAYMANIAN, that can be suitable for a lot of employment, however I chose to be smarter than you and became self employed at a very early age, and is in a very successful business. I remember when the hotels, condominiums, financial institutions, almost every business in Cayman, was 100% Caymanian employed. We had all our tourists come to these Islands and enjoy our friendliness and hospitality, in fact most were repeat visitors, year after year. Work permit holders, (very few at the time), also worked with us and enjoyed our high quality of life, found hardly anywhere else in the world, especially in the caribbean. I would say that you meant the opposite, 98% that is employable, have to put up with such racism as this!! That is an awful thought, you have to run from your country to come and enjoy the wealth of these Islands, yet find time to hate us so much. We are one of the only places in the world to enjoy such a high quality of life!!!! Just to give you a little insight as to the unemployable Caymanians: I have 2 brothers and 1 sister, all Caymanians, whom all have successful businesses. I have 3 children, whom all graduated from private schools as valedictorians, and now have top employment here in the Cayman Islands, after completing college. I can go on with the success stories about Caymanians, but I do not think that will matter to you, as you seem full of hatred for us Caymanians, so I will pray hard for you instead. As for Mr. Baines, he is in charge of the law on these Islands, so he has to be held responsible to enforce the law. When I was in charge of one of the condominium complexes here in Grand Cayman, as a young man, I had to make sure that my employer was satisfied with my performance. I gave them a 110% of my efforts, which is why they were one of the top complexes here and in the caribbean!!! If he is in charge, then he will have to be responsible for the law being enforced!! I do not have anything against Mr. Baines personally, but he seems incapable of handling the police force on these Islands!! But, instead of fighting each other why don’t we try something positive? Why don’t we unite and fight crime together, kill corruption on these Islands together!! I could go on with this subject also, but again I will pray for our Islands!!! We also have to end slavery, employment slavery that is, on these Islands!! How can we progress as the top of the caribbean and import poverty here, as we are doing now with a pay scale as low as U.S.$ 3.00 an hour? I do hope you change your attitude towards us, or I would suggest take you catch KX Hatred and flee from our Islands. Thanking you for your time to respond and hoping you do read this response!!!

Have you ever travelled anywhere? These people that come to the Cayman Osland and are willing to work for what you consider pittance is a lot of money in their home country. This is why they flock to the Cayman Islands. This is why there are so many South Americans, Jamaicans, Indians and Filipinos.

While you may have done well. You are a different generation. The you get set. Predominately young male set are useless, lazy, tired, full of excuses, drug abusers even if functional etc.

The women that fit the unemployed mold also have a stereotype. It’s not a large number of individuals. It is just enough bad apples that have ruined the bunch.

It is also important to note that every single one of the unemployed will not be a graduate of one of the prestigious local private schools. They are either a public school leaver or a graduate of one of the lower end private schools.

I don’t think anyone is blaming Baines for this…He just was out of his depth with how to resolve crime issues in Cayman..He lost all confidence of his staff and the general public and besides you, Helen and Alden he really didn’t have anyone left in his corner…Sometime you just have to admit you have lost the plot despite the extenuating circumstances…

  4. MI6 in 345 says:

I wonder if Madam Governor Helen Kilpatrick realizes this actually happened in the Cayman Islands where in her opinion everything is under control?

Sickening to hear about crimes and vandalism in Cayman. No matter what the RCIPS statistics say things are getting worse and the Governor and Premier are in denial.
