GT woman charged with restaurant burglary

Cayman News Service(CNS): A 43-year-old woman was charged Thursday with burglary at a George Town restaurant after she was reportedly caught red handed by a staff member during an early morning break-in on Tuesday. Police said the woman was discovered by the employee of the restaurant on School Road as she arrived at work at around 5:30am on 19 April. Finding the suspect burglar inside, she called 911 and a police officer responded within minutes and arrested her.

The George Town woman was taken into custody and appeared in Summary Court, having been charged with consumption of a controlled substance, which was not disclosed, and possession of a drug utensil, as well as burglary.
