Police seize gun and ammo in GT raid

Cayman News Service(CNS): Two men appeared in court Monday following the seizure of a .38 revolver and six rounds of ammunition. On Friday, 18 March, at around 6:15am, police arrested five people in a raid at a house in the Crewe Road area of George Town, where the weapon was found. A 36-year-old man of no fixed address and a 32-year-old man from Bodden Town were charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and both were remanded in custody.

A 37-year-old man from George Town was also charged with possession of cocaine and other drug-related offences. He was bailed to appear in Summary Court on Tuesday, 29 March.

Two women were also arrested for unspecified offences, and while one was released by police, the second, a 21-year-old woman from West Bay, was released on police bail.

    It would be nice to know if these and other victims are locals, visitors, or Residency holders rather than which District they reside in. Sometimes it makes the District seem like it is the worst when in truth they are not Caymanians, not to say that we don’t have a lot of problem Caymanians.

      Here in Bodden Town they come to keep the spotlight off of them. They are Dodgers not true district people.
