Cayman News Service(CNS): Police have arrested a 27-year-old man from West Bay in connection with at least three recent indecent assaults on women exercising in the South Church Street and Walkers Road area of George Town. The RCIPS has not yet stated if the man is a suspect in relation to another series of similar sexual assaults on women in the West Bay district as well. The man was arrested Thursday 11 February and he remains in custody at the George Town Police Station while enquiries continue.

At least three women have reported being grabbed and assaulted by a sexual predator while they were running and walking around 6-7am in the South Sound area over the last two weeks. In response, the police stepped up patrols in the area.

The reports were similar to ones made in West Bay last summer, though in those cases the man was riding a bicycle. However there was another assault on a woman out running in January in the district by a man wearing a mask near the junction of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway and Willie Farrington Drive.
