Cayman News Service(CNS): Two Canadian men have been charged with ATM fraud. Police said the Financial Crime Unit received a report from a local bank about suspicious cards that had been retained by one of its cash machines. The FCU began an investigation that led to the arrest of two men at a local hotel where they were staying. The police also recovered a number of Starbucks gift and debit cards, as well as a card reader.

One man, aged 21, was charged with conspiracy to defraud the retail banking system of the Cayman Islands. He appeared in court on Thursday before being remanded to HMP Northward.  He was scheduled to return to court Monday alongside the second man, aged 25, who has been charged with conspiracy to defraud.

Yes Canadians may be known as PassiveAgressive thieves but at least these are victimless crimes. The money is ensured by the bank.

So who do you think the accounts belong to yes they will get ther money bank, there is the the hassle, possible credit rating being affected and the knowledge that there personal data has been stolen and not knowing exactly what they have stolen, maybe enough to create a complete identity, so there is a victim!!!!!

“Canada, come visit. Besides the beautiful scenery, the people will introduce you to their bilingual brand of passive-aggressive larceny, both Grand et Petit.”

Canadakind – we’ll totally embrace you

Just like every insurance policy, the deductable will be much higher than the amounts stolen. Straight loss for the bank.

:”Canadian citizenship does not a Canadian make” Quite a reasonable statement in its intended context. Same applies when crimes are committed by persons of foreign birth and culture who just happen to have received Caymanian status. Caymanian status does not a Caymanian make. Hope people realize and respect that too!

Given that you cannot spell Canuck. you cannot spell at all or write in basic English, my suspicion is that you are impersonating a Canadian and are doing so in a way that shows you to be a complete idiot.

            • Anonymous says:

‘They’re’ is a contraction of ‘they are’ which is what you mean when you say, “They are not Canadian, they are smarter”
