(CNS): Two George Town brothers charged with killing Jason Powery (20) in July last year will now face trial on 18 April after the case was adjourned over legal complications last month. Osbourne Douglas (28) and Justin Ramoon (24) are accused of the fatal shooting of the young West Bay man outside a bar in central George Town, in what police have described as a gang-related killing. The brothers have been on remand at HMP Northward awaiting trial since they were charged in July, around two weeks after the killing.

Both men have denied killing Powery and it was their defence attorneys who argued for a postponement of the case following legal issues regarding jury selection at the original scheduled hearing in January.
