Teenage motorbike rider arrested after crash

Cayman News Service(CNS): A 14-year-old boy from George Town has been arrested and bailed after the motorbike he was riding collided with a truck on Crewe Road, George Town, on Sunday afternoon. Police say the accident happened just before 3:30pm yesterday, 3 January, as the truck was turning left onto Alamo Drive. Ambulance, fire and police services responded following a 911 call.  The teenage motorcyclist and his female pillion passenger were transported to George Town hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Police say the underage rider was arrested on suspicion of careless driving, driving without being qualified, and driving with no insurance and is now on police bail.
