(CNS): Former CONCACAF president Jeffrey Webb is no longer receiving any cash from either FIFA or the regional association, CONCACAF has confirmed. Although a number of other football officials caught up in the massive FIFA corruption probe are still being paid, Webb, who has pleaded guilty to corruption charges connected to kickbacks and bribes from sports marketing companies, saw his salary and contract terminated immediately after his arrest in May.

According to international press reports, banned UEFA president Michel Platini is still being paid “until further notice” and banned FIFA president Sepp Blatter is also still receiving his salary until FIFA elects a new leader next month. But after Webb was arrested in Zürich in May, his contract was terminated and he is no longer getting his lucrative salary.

Webb was also terminated from the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) following revelations of his conviction after the admitted his role in the bribery and corruption scandal. Webb remains under house arrest in Atlanta on a $10 million bond raised with the help of luxury cars, jewellery and property. He is expected to be sentenced in June.

Webb is still wanted in the Cayman Islands to face charges relating to corruption offences here over the hospital CarePay contract.

What was Mark Scotland’s position with CIFA? I recall him being at the Swiss hotel in May when the police swooped on the CONCACAF people.

Or was he just there as an “honored guest” of Jeff’s?

How many sport boots and kits has he stolen from the kids of Cayman and Haiti??

CONCACAF is from Canada to Argentina n every country in the region!!
      We all were ripped off!

      • Anonymous says:

Not quite correct, concacaf is North/Central America and the Caribbean only, however, the South America confederation, CONMEBOL is just as corrupt or worst, so you statement of Canada to Argentina is correct.

  3. Cruz says:

Dear all he did not act alone. There’s more here that are crapping their pants and hoping Jeff doesn’t spill the beans. I know a certain case, names are being called.

Its not his fault that he was not born in Nigeria…

    • Pls Enlighten Me says:

Could you please elaborate? I’m racking my brain for the correlation between Webb and Nigeria.

      • Anonymous says:

Loganville is also considered Mecca by Nigerians. Duh

        • Pls Enlighten Me says:

Oh, that may not be as common knowledge as you may have thought. So Webb bought a house in Loganville, which is also regarded as Mecca by the Nigerians, but even though he has a house there, it’s not his fault that he wasn’t born in Nigeria? Hmmm….okay, thanks.

This is like the scenario of a movie. In May…..everybody said “our Jeff is innocent”. How things change!!!

All their praying for Jeff paid off.

The expression on his face is real disbelief. Rob not the poor because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted in the gate. The notorious thief of the century. Stole from his country, government, people and the young people who played their hearts out and were told they couldn’t be given subsistence, because of limited funds. Those boys should publisize all the things that they realise now we’re under the carpet moves by Webb.

Sadly all of this money embezzled by a few thiefs and the local game can not get a chance to improve. Cayman is a member of CFU and one of the few members NOT taking part in the Caribbean championship taken place this year, if our boys and girls do not getva chance to compete in their area how can they grow. We currently have a good group of 23-25 yearold players ready to represent the country as shown last year in the WC qualifiers against Belice, fell short on the away goal rule, however they show potential. How Cifa show support? Not entering a team this year, I guess they will claim lack of funding as they have for the last 20 years. Anyone involved in football must be able to see that change is absolutely nececassy at cifa.

and he stole it all…..classic white collar crook.

I hope this information is correct, this a mafia after all, can’t really trust everything they say. Any way his “income” from the goal project builders, Carepay, FIFA PFA, CIFA loans turned sponsors and others should keep him for a while. The current CIFA exco is shocked to learn this news, however a CIFA exco member is the owner of one of companies awarded the goal project.

Waiting to see all his friends and associates names locally and abroad listed shortly. He wasn’t in this alone.

      • Anonymous says:

Apparently, if he repays all this money, he can get off here. That’s the honest truth. Some second rate 5th grade politico used that defense, worked for him. Doesn’t work so well in the good ol’ US of A though. Would not try it there.

    • SSM345 says:

What about a certain ex-Minister’s Dump Truck Company who is / was a CIFA Board member and would have obviously got the contract to transport all the fill for the new “Fields”…..

      • Anonymous says:

        Doctor Cry Baby?

      • Anonymous says:

Well, is that the same minister missing from the Carepay case? It would not be possible that a current CIFA exco member and a previous member were given contracts for the goal project? Could it be? According to the news today the current CIFA president and FIFA are currently investigating.
Everything will be fine soon, never mind the horse is way out of the gate waiting for sentence in the US. Or that is what they want us to beleive., those left in Cayman have pure hearts and clean hands.

    • Anonymous says:

What is shocking here is that the CIFA member clubs are not up in arms demanding that the CIFA current “administration” come clean in this issue. Most of the members of CIFA exco have been in place for years and a current VP is the owner of one of the goal project contractor as reported in the local media. How long and what would it take for the clubs and the football fraternity in Cayman grow some courage and demand answers.

Umm, you need to take in the difference of culture. Some things that are grievous breaking of the law in some parts of the world are not really illegal elsewhere. Maybe you a little bit racist or culturally insensitive
