Cayman News Service(CNS): The police are asking anyone who saw what happened in Tuesday night’s collision on Watercourse Road to contact the West Bay station. Officers are investigating what caused the crash in which a Mercedes-Benz and a motorbike collided close to Super C’s restaurant. The 20-year-old pillion passenger on the bike who was in a critical condition has now regained consciousness and has been stabilized, police said Friday.

The 28-year-old rider is due to undergo surgery today, and the young pedestrian who was injured remains in the hospital with leg injuries but is also stable.

The child’s mother and her other two children, including a baby, who were walking in the area and received minor injuries were all treated and released following the crash.

Neither the passenger nor the driver in the Mercedes were injured.

Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to call West Bay Police Station at 649-3999.

What the hell is RCIPS doing? The cruisers are at the station more often than they are on the roads. Their constant presence on the roads would be a deterrent to these guys who have no respect for others!

What RCIPS needs to do is keep these guys on the illegal bikes off the public streets. All day and night these guys ride bikes on the road and they have become a nuisance to everyone else. STOP PLEASE! The combination of the noise of the bikes and numerous car sound systems is becoming a royal pain in the a$$!

Is CCTV actually working, or is it mostly dummy cameras to keep the “rabble” submissive and docile??
