Marine police seek answers on capsized boat

Boat found submerged in Smith Cove area Tuesday 15 Dec 2015

(CNS): The Joint Marine Unit is investigating the circumstance surrounding the discovery of a submerged boat (left) in the Smith Cove area, which was reported to the RCIPS around 7:30 Tuesday morning. Preliminary checks suggest that no one was on board the capsized boat and no one appears to have been injured in connection with the boat. The submerged boat was brought onshore this morning and the JMU is in the process of identifying the owner.

    Check the registration number to see who the owner is….oh, that’s right, we don’t have a registration database like most other places have.

How in the world can they know whether or not some one was on board the boat or whether or not they were injured before it capsized.
