Driver charged with jogger’s death

Cayman News Service(CNS): A 25-year-old man has been charged with killing Marcia Donaldson (46) earlier this year as she was jogging on South Sound Road. The man was charged with causing death by careless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with the death of Donaldson, who was hit by a car just before 5am on Saturday 25 April. The man, who was not identified by the police, was charged on Friday and has been bailed to appear in court on 7 December.

At the time of the incident police said that the car had collided with a utility pole before hitting Donaldson, who was running along the roadside. The driver was also injured in the accident.
