Cayman Islands Legislative Assembly

(CNS): The Legislative Assembly was adjourned on Monday following a meeting that lasted just under two weeks and dealt with a number of bills and motions, including the historic adoption of ‘one man, one vote’. The members will return in three weeks, when the government will present its Strategic Policy Statement, which will cover the PPM administration’s aims and ambitions for its remaining time in office after amendments passed in this month’s meetings to introduce multi-year budgeting.

The next meeting is scheduled for 18 November, when government is also expected, among other things, to deal with the long awaited whistleblower protection legislation, which was gazetted last week.

The Legislative Assembly proceedings for this meeting are still being broadcast each weekday evening on Radio Cayman and viewers can also catch up with the session which are also posted on the government TV station’s YouTube channel.

Subversive Political Shyte, more like. Go for it boys. Your silly emperor is still naked. No amount of acronym can cover his obvious incompetence. I want a word with the tailors, they must be really good salespeople.

I think SPS in this case means “Sudden Parliamentarian Sleeping” syndrome.

So huge salaries for a couple of weeks work every quarter? Wow…wish I could get a job like that. And they wonder why some Caymanians find it hard to get a job when they set such a wonderful work ethic example….

Ummm they do other work you do realize that right ? Some are Ministers, Councillors etc, and then there is the district work they all do. If you think about it they are very much underpaid for all the different responsibilities they have. And yes even helping someone pay their water bill is now considered part of the job.
