Robert Aaron Crawford

(CNS): A 22-year-old West Bay man has denied trying to kill two people or having an illegal handgun in connection with an incident in Sun Burst Lane in July. Robert Aaron Crawford pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of an unlicensed firearm when he appeared in court Friday. Crawford was remanded in custody until his trial, which is scheduled for 11 November.

The crown claims that Crawford tried to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new lover when he went to the property in West Bay on 4 July armed with a .38 Taurus pistol recovered from the scene.

During the altercation, however, Crawford sustained serious stab wounds to his head and chest and was hospitalized in critical condition. Following his release from hospital at the beginning of August, Crawford was charged with the offences. No one has been charged in connection with Crawford’s injuries.
