Robbers strike at WB grocery store

Cayman News Service(CNS): Two masked armed men held up a local convenience store in West Bay Wednesday evening and made off on a scooter, police have reported. The robbery took place well before sundown at around 5:20pm at the Deliza Grocery & Variety Store on Northwest Point Road. The two men entered the store, one of them armed with what was said to be a silver handgun, and stole an undetermined amount of cash. The robbers left the location on a black scooter bike. An RCIPS spokesperson said no shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

Several police units, including the police helicopter, conducted an extensive search of the area but did not locate the scooter or the culprits. No arrests have been made.
