(CNS): Dan Kelly (23) has denied being part of a stick-up at a bakery in West Bay that happened almost five years ago. Kelly, who pleaded not guilty in court Friday, absconded while on bail several years ago after he was charged in relation to the robbery at Caribbean Bakery in September 2010. He was arrested at Owen Roberts Airport in May this year when he came back to Cayman from the UK and was remanded in custody. He will now be tried in relation to the robbery in November.

Answering the charges, Kelly denied being in possession of a flare gun or stealing $400 from the store when he was still a teenager. His co-defendant in the case, Derrick Simpson, received a three year jail term in 2013 after admitting his part in the bakery heist.
