(CNS): A 46-year-old man from East End who not only failed to keep up with fine payments but failed to appear in court found himself in custody for burglary as well this weekend after police came across the wanted man in the early hours of Saturday morning. The RCIPS said the man was arrested in Bodden Town, originally for the court infractions, at around 2:45am (25 July) but he was arrested on suspicion of a break-in at a residence in the vicinity of Sea View Road, East End, during the late afternoon – early evening of Friday 24 July, when incriminating evidence was found on him.

Uniformed officers were serving the two arrest warrants on the man for defaulting on an outstanding fine and for not showing up for a scheduled court appearance in relation to other crimes. But the police then discovered an item of stolen property on the suspect that linked him to the East End burglary earlier that night. As a result, he was arrested in relation to that break-in as well as the original offences.
