Cops charge suspect serial burglar

(CNS): An unnamed Filipino national has been charged with a string of commercial burglaries on Grand Cayman, from George Town to Savannah over a four-month period. Police said the 44-year-old man was arrested and charged on Thursday with four counts of burglary, all at commercial premises, between 26 November last year and 26 March.

The suspected serial burglar is accused of break-ins at the Clean and Tidy Beauty Salon on Eastern Avenue and the Paige and Co Beauty Salon in Pasadora Place both in George Town, as well as Da Station Bar on Shamrock Road in Red Bay and the Digicel store at Countryside Shopping Village in Savannah. Police said that the accused man was due to appear before Summary Court later today, (Tuesday 28 April).
