(CNS) Updated 8:55am Thursday: The 26-year-old woman who died in a car crash on Shamrock Road Wednesday has been named. Rowena Scott, the mother of four children, was pronounced dead at the hospital after her black KIA Sorrento SUV smashed into a concrete wall in the Spotts Dock area yesterday afternoon. Scott is understood to have lost control of the car as she was driving east and police said no other vehicles were involved. The male passenger in the car is currently at the George Town hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The accident, which happened around 2pm, is under investigation by senior investigators from RCIPS Traffic Management and they are asking witnesses to contact them.

The road was closed on Wednesday afternoon to allow emergency personnel to deal with the fatal collision. It re-opened just after 5pm.

I only learnt late this afternoon of this accident an also that the girl I the receptionist from the G.T Hospital Physio Department It made me so sick as I had to visit there soften since the past years due to my accident and on every occasion she was so polite and helpful. I know that her replacement will not be easily found. I just wish that other departments in Government had more efficient workers like her. She would always call and advise me if there was an opening for me to see Mr Darvin who lie her is so accommodating. I will surely miss her. Condolences to her family.
