(CNS): The driver of a Chevrolet Colorado is currently in hospital recovering from a number of non-life threatening injuries after he lost control of a pickup truck on Shamrock Road near the junction of Will T Drive, Lower Valley, Bodden Town. The smash happened at around 3:40am this morning (Tuesday 10 March) when the truck, which was travelling towards Bodden Town, collided with a concrete wall.

The driver was trapped inside the car but the fire crew was able to safely remove him by using the ‘jaws of life’ – equipment designed for road rescue situations. He was then taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town by ambulance, where he was admitted and remains for observation.

While the man escaped very serious injury, his vehicle was extensively damaged and the matter is now under investigation by uniformed officers from the Bodden Town Police Station.

Why is their a uniformed Fire officer taking pictures/video on his cell phone??? If he is not part of the police investigative unit he should not be accessing this information for personal use or possibly to submit information to others in the community. Didn’t we learn of graphic photos being sent out from the same department on a murder scene sometime ago??? Come on guys be respectful of victims, family members & starting marl road stories leave evidence collecting to the professionals and honour confidentiality.
