Brothers injured in hit and run
(CNS): A 14-year-old boy from Savannah suffered serious head and leg injuries Monday evening in a hit-and-run on Shamrock Road. The teenager is currently in hospital in stable condition after he and his brother were both run down by what police believe was a light coloured sports car. The 21-year-old brother also received injuries but he has been treated and released from the hospital. The car that hit the brothers was travelling towards Bodden Town but did not stop.
Uniformed officers from Bodden Town Police Station said they are interested in speaking with the driver of a red SUV who was first on the scene and stopped to help the brothers after they were hit by the car outside the Savannah Primary School on the pedestrian crossing at around 6:50pm Monday 26 January.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC Emanuel Brown or Inspector Christsandra Mitchell at the Bodden Town Police Station on 947 2220 or 947 2240. The RCIPS is also appealing to the driver of the light colour car to make contact with officers at the Bodden Town Police Station.
I hope they catch the scumbag and give them a jail sentence for this.
Please let us not become like Miami, the hit & run capital of the world! Accidents happen, just have the heart and decency to stop or return to the scene. These are human lives not animals! Wonder how drivers like this would feel if their family were victims of the same callousness? What is happening to our country??
