CNS registration and log-in guidelines

Becoming a registered CNS user is optional and you can still comment without logging in as “Anonymous” or using any obvious pseudonym. However, if you use a real name, registration is required, including a valid email address and a phone number that can be used for verification. People who comment regularly using the same pseudonym may also want to register so that this username is unique on CNS, in which case a phone number is optional but a valid email address is still required.

Registration is subject to CNS approval. Phone numbers and email addresses required for verification will not be published or shared and will remain confidential.

While we take all measures possible to prevent people mischievously or maliciously using someone’s real name to comment on this site, we cannot guarantee that this will not happen. If you see a comment purporting to be from a real person and have reason to believe that the author is not who they claim to be, please click on the abuse button to notify the CNS moderator.
