11 days left for voter objections and claims

(CNS Election): People who wish to raise an objection or make a claim about the newly published electoral list have just eleven days to check the new register and contact the Elections Office. Officials are urging all Caymanians who plan to vote in the General Elections on 24 May to check the revised voter details published on their site, and contact them if they have any issues before 20 February.

Voters can check the list in a search function at www.elections.ky or visit in person any post office on all three islands to access a hard copy of the draft list. “The public review period for making claims and objections is a vital step in publishing an accurate list of electors for the General Elections,” officials stated.

The final list will be published on 1 April and only the people named on that final list will be able to vote in the constituency in which they are registered.

At the moment, there are more than 21,400 voters registered but there are a further 194 people who have not made the list because of missing information or errors during the recent enumeration process and voters are also asked to contact the office if their name appears on that list.

Can a Cayman Bracer working and living in Cayman be registered in Cayman Brac and vote there? I understand there are quite a few.

I object to the Lodge being involved in our democracy. Scheming codpieces.

I object to any person being on the list who is not a Caymanian. Could the elections office please ask immigration to publish a list of Caymanians so that I can cross check it, if the elections office has not done so already?
