I am personally opposed to

I am personally opposed to the project, but I feel that a demonstration in Georgetown ,although effective, would have negative effects on the tourist industry. Perhaps there is a more expedient place to protest.

Since the developer or anyone

Since the developer or anyone else have not made a comitment to actually develop a sea port the only real project to discuss at this time is the mega quarry. The Developer has repeatedly insulted our intelligence by attempting to present a quarry as a sea port.

That said a blockcade of George Town during business hours will indiscriminately penalise businesses and people not connected to the developer including tourists and the financial industry.  I would suggest a Saturday or after 5PM on a week day. That way everyone who wants to attend can while stil doing :"a honest day's work", myself included.

Actually I think CNS took a

Actually I think CNS took a cue from the official government poll accompanying the National Conservation Bill. Have you ever seen the NCB survey? It is a biased pile of crap and wayyy more leading (but a bit more subtle about it) than this one. Pure propaganda.

CNS, your options do not

CNS, your options do not match the topic's question. Yours are highly leading and transparent. I expected to see the following two options:

1. I do not agree with a blockade of GT and I support this project.

2. I do not agree with a blockade of GT but I do not support this project.

For these polls to have any sort of validity at all, and we know they are not scientific, try to frame options to suit questions in future. Thanks in advance.

I disagree. It is actually

I disagree. It is actually more complicated because there are two isuues in play.  For example one might easily be of the view to oppose the port and the demonstration as well. There's plenty of comment in here about the demonstration question that has little to do with the port. I was interested to learn that people are concerned that a demonstration might be illegal and that agents provocateurs are also a concern. What a "country."

You want this to have far too

You want this to have far too many options to be honest. What it will do is scatter the inputs so much they would not show a true direction of the voters.

I would like to have seen less options but more pointed.

1) I agree with the port project and do not feel there should be a blockade.

2) I am neutral to the project and hence do not agree with blockade.

3) I am against the port project and agree with blockade

While I understand the whole CS issue of standing up and what it could mean if you offer too many options you will scatter the vote and make the poll meaningless. It could be argued that it would still have value but I think more concise options are better.

CNS response

There is now a great deal of information in the public domain, including a website dedicated to this project, and there have been several public meetings about it and plenty of news articles and discussions in all the media. If anyone feels they do not have sufficient information at this point, they have not been keeping up and should not vote.
